ePrescribing rollout and COVID-19 response

The rollout of ePrescribing is well underway with Communities of Interest (COI) set up across the country. With over 10,000 ePrescription tokens dispensed, the feedback on the token model has been positive from participating Doctors, patients and Pharmacists.

We continue to learn from the COI’s and look forward to the introduction of the Active Script List in the coming months to complete the ePrescribing solution and to provide added features for you and your patients.

Fred’s WhatsApp ePrescription solution wins ADHA Innovation Challenge

Fred are proud to have been announced as one of the winners of the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) Innovation Challenge, for our solution which enables Australians to easily access their prescriptions electronically via WhatsApp.

The solution is the first use of the WhatsApp platform for prescription dispensing requests via a WhatsApp chatbot and enables patients who use the platform to forward their required prescriptions to their local pharmacy of choice for dispensing.

Launch of Australia’s first pharmacy dispensing workflow for electronic scripts

eRx Script Exchange is launching a new workflow tool to help pharmacies manage the dispensing changes which will occur with the introduction of electronic prescribing in Australia in 2020.

Electronic prescribing means that patients will be able to present their prescription electronically using a mobile phone, email message, or other pharmacy app, in addition to the traditional paper script.

Fred IT to release first phase of MedView Medicines Workspace in MyHR trial

Pharmacy software specialist Fred IT will try out the first phase of its new MedView Medicines Workspace during the later stages of the Northern Queensland trial for the opt-out model of the My Health Record.

First announced at the Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP) conference on the Gold Coast earlier this month, Fred's MedView Medicines Workspace will eventually allow doctors, pharmacists, hospitals and patients to have shared access to critical medicines information and services.
